Spotlight On Cultural Preservation Meets Refugee Empowerment: Joyce Kiza's Visionary Work

Meet Joyce Kiza - Founder of The Root 4 Refugees Charity.

Joyce Kiza transforms refugee experiences through her innovative organization, The Root.

As an entrepreneurship mentor and life coach, Joyce has dedicated her career to empowering displaced communities, particularly within Nakivale refugee camp. Following her 2017 mentorship with Opportunigee, she founded The Root to preserve cultural heritage while fostering community empowerment.

Joyce's initiative brings together thousands of participants from diverse backgrounds through annual festivals and monthly cultural gatherings, creating spaces for refugees to shape their environment, build peace, and support one another.

Since 2018, her work with Promise Hub's local impact team has provided crucial guidance to aspiring refugee entrepreneurs, demonstrating how business development can become a pathway to dignity and self-sufficiency for displaced populations.

Follow The Roots $ Refugees On Linkedin and support the programs and the Nakivale refugee camp, Uganda.
